Not long ago I figured that blogging is an effective way to promote websites, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, so far we all agree that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.

Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, this is not something new, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs, to put real content on your site won’t be an easy job, its never easy to build successful blogs. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, look at this one, Cable Puller and Come Along, the domain name is pretty good, and it has a lot of interesting posts, since this is not a themed blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Check this one out, Truck Tie Down Webbing, this blog is themed, the content on the this site has a theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. Its easy to show more similar sites, though I guess you get the point already. Here is one last note, you should build some casual blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Lunch Special, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.

If you have a few established blogs already, add more blogs when you can, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. This is just an idea, it won’t be easy to build even a tiny blogging network, follow the white hat tricks and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
